Rookies & Dragons exists for one reason: to be the guide that makes tabletop role-playing games feel approachable, not intimidating.

What is a TTRPG?

A tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) is a collaborative storytelling experience. One person — the Game Master or Dungeon Master — narrates the world. Everyone else plays a character living inside it. You make choices, roll dice, and see what happens.

That's it. There's no screen, no graphics card required, no loading times. Just imagination, some friends, and a set of funny-shaped dice.

Where to start

The easiest entry point in 2025 is Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. It has the largest community, the most beginner resources, and a free rules document so you can try before you buy.
